The Rockefeller Foundation’s Public Charity Expands Project ACT to Provide At-Risk Communities Nationwide with Free At-Home Covid-19 Tests
The Rockefeller Foundation, through its public charity RF Catalytic Capital (RFCC), announced the nationwide expansion of Project Access Covid Tests (Project ACT) to provide free at-home Covid-19 tests directly to at-risk communities across the United States. After working with health departments in six states to deliver an initial one million tests, RFCC is opening up the program to all U.S. states and territories. Already, health departments in five states – Maine, New Mexico, Kansas, Michigan, and North Carolina – have signed up and committed funding to secure 1.2 million tests. Enrollment for health departments is open through August 31, 2022, with tests to be distributed through the end of February 2023.
PenFed Credit Union Gives Back to San Diego and Military Communities by Donating $20,000 to Local Charities
PenFed Credit Union, the nation’s second largest federal credit union, today announced it donated $20,000 to local San Diego charities as an on-going initiative to give back to the members of the communities in which PenFed teammates live and work. PenFed, which operates a financial center in Miramar, donated $15,000 to the Jacobs and Cushman San Diego Food Bank and $5,000 to the Support The Enlisted Project (STEP).

In collaboration with Polymode, Letterform Archive is excited to announce Strikethrough: Typographic Messages of Protest, a new exhibition on view beginning July 23, 2022. This will be the second-ever exhibition presented by Letterform Archive in their new permanent space at 2325 Third Street, Floor 4R in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco.
National PTA and Thermo Fisher Scientific Team Up to Help Maximize In-Person Learning for Students
National PTA is pleased to announce that Thermo Fisher Scientific has become the association’s newest Proud National Sponsor. With support from Thermo Fisher Scientific, National PTA is working with state and district/council/region PTAs to educate and engage families on timely health and wellness topics, including COVID-19 testing in schools. National PTA will host a symposium sponsored by Thermo Fisher Scientific during the association’s 125th Anniversary Convention. The goal of the collaboration is to maximize in-person learning days for students across the country.

John Deere Foundation Awards $1 Million to World Food Program USA
Today, the John Deere Foundation announced a $1 million donation to World Food Program USA to combat global food insecurity and address the staggering rise of acute hunger exacerbated by the crisis in Ukraine.
Half of the grant will support the global humanitarian work of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), with the other half going to the organization’s Innovation Accelerator, which sources, supports, and scales high-impact innovations to achieve zero hunger.
